Takaungu is thought of by many as one of the most spectacular parts of the Kenyan Coast. Takaungu is a small traditional Swahili village virtually untouched by western influence. The village is located along a beautiful and pristine creek amongst cliffs and baobabs. A few kilometers further are Vuma Cliffs, with even more spectacular scenery of huge waves crashing against wild rough cliffs. This is a nice day trip, great for photographers, fishermen, and anyone feeling a little adventurous and up for a hike!
